STEP 4 · YOUR VIDEO RECORDING GUIDE

Your phone. Your invitation. Five to seven simple videos.

Choose scripts that fit your church, replace the church details, and speak naturally. You do not need a production team.

Go to the scripts

Set yourself up for a good recording.

01

Make it yours.

Choose five to seven scripts. Replace each church name, city, and service-time placeholder before recording. Keep every invitation accurate to your church.

02

Keep it simple.

Hold your phone vertically at eye level. Find a quiet place with good lighting. Look into the lens and speak as if inviting one person.

03

Send the originals.

Record each script two or three times. Do not add music, captions, filters, or editing. Share the original files for campaign preparation.

Start speaking immediately. Skip an introduction about yourself. Check that your voice is clear and the church details are right. The supplied guide suggests Video Teleprompter Lite if you would like help reading as you record.

Watch real invitation videos.

See how other churches invite people to visit. Each example opens in Google Drive in a new tab.

These are finished videos. When you record yours, send us the originals without music, captions, or edits.

CHOOSE FIVE TO SEVEN

Ready-to-use invitation scripts.

Open a script to read it. You can copy the words or mark a recording complete while this page is open.

These checkboxes are a temporary recording aid. Submit your progress and files in the form below to save a checkpoint. Copy or print any scripts you want to keep.

1. PARENTS, YOU ARE CARRYING A LOT

Busy parents and families.

Parents carry a lot. Work, school drop-offs, groceries, bills, and a list that never really ends. We work hard to make sure our families are okay, but it is easy for our spiritual lives to get pushed aside. A strong home needs more than a full calendar. It needs faith, hope, and people who can help the whole family grow. If that sounds valuable for your family, we would love to welcome you to [Church Name] this Sunday. Click the link below to plan your visit. We will help you know what to expect before you arrive.
2. YES, THIS IS ANOTHER CHURCH AD

People who may be skeptical of church or have not attended in a long time.

Yes, this is another church ad on your timeline. Give me 20 seconds before you keep scrolling. A lot of people have full lives but still carry big questions about peace, purpose, faith, and what really matters. Some people are curious about God. Some have had a bad church experience. Others are simply not sure where they would fit. At [Church Name], you do not have to pretend or have everything figured out before visiting. If you are even a little curious, click the link below and plan your visit. We would be glad to meet you.
3. HOW MANY TIMES ARE WE GOING TO IGNORE IT?

People who keep postponing their spiritual lives.

Hey, how many more funerals do we have to go to this year? How many more times are we going to ignore that little tug in our hearts telling us to open the Bible, take our spiritual lives more seriously, and think about what happens after death? Yet we keep pushing it off. I am not saying this to scare you. I care enough to ask the question. You do not need to have everything figured out, but you do need to take a first step. Join us at [Church Name] this Sunday. Click the link below to plan your visit.
4. YOU DO NOT HAVE TO CARRY EVERYTHING ALONE

People feeling overwhelmed, lonely, stressed, or emotionally exhausted.

Some of the strongest-looking people are carrying more than anyone else can see. Work, family, grief, stress, and the pressure to keep saying, "I am fine." Church should not be another place where people have to perform. Jesus invites us to come honestly. At [Church Name], you will meet imperfect people who are learning to follow Jesus and support one another through real life. If you need a place to breathe, pray, and take an honest next step, we would love to welcome you. Click the link below to plan your visit.
5. WHEN GOD FEELS QUIET

People who feel discouraged by unanswered prayers.

Have you ever prayed about something for so long that you started wondering whether God heard you? That kind of waiting can feel lonely. I will not pretend to know why some answers take longer than we hope, but you do not have to walk through the waiting alone. This Sunday at [Church Name], there will be space to pray, hear Scripture, and be around people who will walk with you. If you are going through a quiet or difficult season, we would love to welcome you. Click the link below to plan your visit.
6. THE STRUGGLES NOBODY SEES

People privately dealing with shame, destructive habits, or personal struggles.

Some of the hardest battles are the ones nobody else can see. People can look fine on the outside while privately carrying habits, shame, or thoughts they do not know how to discuss. Hiding can make that weight feel even heavier. But an honest conversation with someone you trust can be a meaningful first step. At [Church Name], we believe grace makes room for honesty. Nobody has to arrive with a perfect story. If you are looking for a safe place to begin again, click the link below and plan your visit.
7. IS THIS REALLY ALL THERE IS?

Young adults and working professionals searching for greater purpose.

Have you ever looked at your routine and wondered, "Is this really all life is supposed to be?" Work, errands, bills, sleep, and then do it all again. Questions about purpose are not something you have to explore alone. Following Jesus does not make life effortless, but it does invite us into a life of faith, service, community, and meaning. If you have been thinking about bigger questions, join us at [Church Name] this Sunday. Click the link below to plan your visit. We would love to meet you.
8. LET ME MAKE YOUR FIRST VISIT EASIER

People who feel nervous or awkward about visiting a church.

If visiting a church feels a little awkward, let me make it simple. Wear what you normally wear. Our team will help you find where to go, and you can sit wherever you feel comfortable. Nobody is going to put you on the spot. Click the link below to plan your visit, and we will send you everything you need to know before Sunday. Your first visit does not have to feel complicated. We will be ready to welcome you at [Church Name].
9. YOUR CALENDAR IS ALREADY FULL

Busy people who keep putting off church because of their schedule.

Most calendars fill themselves. Work gets a spot. School gets a spot. Practice gets a spot. Errands get a spot. Our spiritual lives are often what get left for later. This is not about adding guilt to an already busy week. It is about deciding what deserves a place on the calendar before every open space disappears. Choose one Sunday and make room for it. [Church Name] would love to welcome you. Click the link below to plan your visit.
10. PARENTS OF TEENAGERS, THIS MATTERS

Parents and guardians of teenagers.

Parents of teenagers, the loudest voices in your child’s life do not always come from your home. Friends, social media, and culture are shaping what young people believe every day. That is not a reason to panic. It is a reason to be intentional. You do not have to lead perfectly to begin leading spiritually. Bring your family to [Church Name] this Sunday and give your teenager another healthy voice and a community where questions are welcome. Click the link below to plan your visit.
11. NEW TO THE AREA?

People who recently moved to your city.

Still learning the roads, the restaurants, and who to call when you need something? Moving to a new city can make life feel like you are starting from zero. But you do not have to build community all at once. Start with one room, one conversation, and one Sunday. If you are new to [City], we would love to welcome you to [Church Name]. Click the link below to plan your visit. We would be glad to meet you.
12. IF CHURCH HAS LET YOU DOWN

People who have been disappointed or hurt by a previous church experience.

If a church experience left you disappointed, guarded, or hurt, your hesitation makes sense. You do not owe anyone instant trust, and you do not have to pretend that nothing happened. If you ever decide to try again, take it one step at a time. Visit, observe, ask questions, and move at your own pace. If knowing the details ahead of time would make that first step easier, click the link below and plan your visit to [Church Name]. We would be honored to welcome you.
13. BRING YOUR QUESTIONS WITH YOU

Skeptics and people who are curious about faith.

Can I tell you who is welcome at [Church Name]? People who believe, people who doubt, and people who are still deciding what they think. You do not have to fake certainty or clean up your questions before visiting. Come listen, think, ask questions, and take your time. If curiosity is the only reason you visit, that is enough for a first step. Click the link below to plan your visit. We will send you everything you need to know.
14. STRENGTH DOES NOT MEAN ISOLATION

Men carrying work, financial, or family pressure.

A lot of men were taught that strength means handling everything alone. Work pressure, family pressure, money pressure. Just keep moving and do not say much. But isolation is not strength. Real strength can look like asking for wisdom, building solid friendships, and making room for God. If that kind of brotherhood sounds valuable, join us at [Church Name] this Sunday. Click the link below to plan your visit. There is room here to grow with other men who are learning too.
15. YOUR SCHEDULE IS DIFFERENT, AND THAT IS OKAY

Healthcare workers, first responders, military personnel, and people working unusual schedules.

Hold three cards in front of the camera.

Write "7 AM," "7 PM," and "3 AM" on the cards.

Remove the cards one at a time. The final card should reveal your face as you begin speaking.
Night shifts, weekend work, rotating schedules, and long hours can make a normal weekly routine feel impossible. But that does not mean there is no place for you here. Check our service times, choose the one that fits, and come as you are, even after a long shift. Your first step can be simple. Click the link below to plan your visit, choose a service, and let [Church Name] help with the details.
16. A NEW CHAPTER CAN STILL HAVE PURPOSE

Empty nesters, retirees, and people entering a new season of life.

When the house gets quieter or your work schedule begins to slow down, it can feel like one chapter has ended. But a new season can still hold purpose, friendship, learning, and meaningful ways to serve. It is not too late to begin a healthy new rhythm. If you are looking for what comes next, spend one Sunday with us at [Church Name]. Click the link below to plan your visit. We would love to help you discover the people and opportunities waiting here.
17. STOP WAITING FOR SOMEDAY

People who keep thinking about returning to church but continue putting it off.

Maybe you keep saying, "I should get back to church sometime." The problem with sometime is that it never lands on the calendar. Do not make a huge promise today. Just choose one Sunday. Pick a service, make a plan, and see what it is like. Click the link below to plan your visit and place it on your calendar. Take one small step that you can actually keep. [Church Name] will be ready to welcome you.

OPTIONAL IDEAS

Visual hooks to help your invitation stand out.

WALK TOWARD THE CAMERA
Begin several feet away from the camera. Walk quickly toward it and say, "Hey, give me 20 seconds." Use a church walkway or empty parking lot. Do not cross an active street.
POUR A CUP OF COFFEE
Begin pouring coffee while saying the first line of the script. The activity does not need to match the message. Its purpose is to create movement at the beginning.
PREPARE FOOD
Begin washing vegetables, stirring a bowl, or arranging food while delivering the script. Do not use a sharp knife while looking into the camera.
WORK NEAR A PARKED CAR
Kneel beside a parked car while holding a wrench near the tire. Look up at the camera and begin the script. The vehicle should be turned off, parked, and secure.
OPEN A CHURCH DOOR
Place the camera inside the church entrance. Open the door, walk toward the camera, and begin speaking.
PULL UP A CHAIR
Begin with an empty chair in front of the camera. Pull the chair closer, sit down, and immediately begin the script.
USE A QUESTION CARD
Cover the camera with a large card containing the first question from the script. Lower the card, reveal your face, and begin speaking.
RECORD A QUICK INTERVIEW
Ask a church member, "What surprised you most on your first Sunday here?" Begin the video with the person’s answer. Make sure you receive permission before using the video in an advertisement.
